Delete Your QudaLive Account

We're sorry to see you go. This page explains how to delete your account and what happens to your data.

⚠️ Important Warning: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your QudaLive account, the following data will be permanently removed:

Profile Information	Name, email, profile picture, bio - Permanently deleted	Within 30 days
Account Credentials	Login information - Permanently deleted	Immediately
Virtual Currency	Beans, coins, and unused balance - Forfeited	Immediately
Purchase History	Transaction records - Deleted (except legal requirements)	Within 30 days
Stream History	Past broadcasts and recordings - Permanently deleted	Within 30 days
Messages & Chats	All conversations - Permanently deleted	Within 30 days
Followers & Following	Social connections - Removed	Immediately
Analytics Data	Usage statistics - Anonymized or deleted	Within 90 days

What May Be Retained

Some data may be retained for legal, security, or operational reasons:

Legal Compliance: Transaction records may be kept for tax and legal purposes (up to 7 years as required by law)
Security: Logs related to fraud prevention or security incidents may be retained
Backup Systems: Data in backup systems will be deleted during the next backup cycle (within 90 days)
Anonymized Data: Aggregated, anonymized analytics data that cannot identify you may be retained

How to Delete Your Account

📱 Method 1: In-App Deletion (Fastest - Recommended)

The fastest and easiest way to delete your account is directly through the QudaLive app:

Step 1: Open the QudaLive app on your device

Step 2: Tap on your Profile icon (bottom navigation bar)

Step 3: Tap the Settings icon (gear icon in top right)

Step 4: Scroll down and tap "Delete Account" (red button at bottom)

Step 5: Read the warning message carefully

Step 6: Tap "Delete" to confirm (this action is permanent)

Step 7: You will be logged out and your account will be deleted immediately

✓ Instant Deletion: Your account is deleted immediately when using the app. Most data is removed within 30 days, with some data retained for legal compliance as described above.

✉️ Method 2: Email Request (If You Can't Access the App)

If you cannot access the app (lost device, forgot password, app issues), you can request account deletion via email:

Send an email to:

support@qudalive.com

Subject: "Delete My Account - Request"

Include in your email:

Your full name
Email address associated with your account
Username or User ID (if known)
Reason for deletion (optional)
Confirmation statement: "I understand this action is permanent and cannot be undone"

⏱️ Processing Time: Email requests require manual verification for security. We will:

Respond within 48 hours to confirm your identity
May ask for additional verification (for your security)
Complete the deletion within 7 business days after verification

Why Email Takes Longer: For security reasons, we need to verify your identity before deleting your account via email. This prevents unauthorized account deletion. Using the in-app method is instant because you're already authenticated.

Before You Delete

Please Consider:

You will lose all virtual currency (beans/coins) with no refund
All your content and streams will be permanently deleted
You will lose all followers and connections
Your username may become available for others to use
You cannot recover your account after deletion

Alternatives to Account Deletion

If you're concerned about privacy or taking a break, consider these alternatives:

🔒 Temporarily Deactivate (Coming Soon)

Take a break without losing your data. Your profile will be hidden but can be reactivated later.

🔐 Adjust Privacy Settings

Control who can see your profile, send you messages, or view your streams.

How: Settings → Privacy → Adjust your preferences

🔕 Disable Notifications

Stop receiving notifications without deleting your account.

How: Settings → Notifications → Turn off notifications

Partial Data Deletion

Can I delete specific data without deleting my account?

Yes! You can delete specific content without deleting your entire account:

Profile Picture: Profile → Edit Profile → Remove Photo
Stream History: Automatically deleted after 30 days
Messages: Long press message → Delete
Specific Posts: Tap post → Delete option

After Deletion

Once your account is deleted:

✓ Immediate Effects:

You will be logged out of all devices
Your profile will no longer be visible
You cannot log in with your credentials
Other users cannot find or contact you

Within 30 Days:

All personal data will be permanently deleted
Your content will be removed from our servers
Third-party services will be notified to delete your data

Creating a New Account

After deleting your account, you can create a new account at any time. However:

Your previous data cannot be restored
Your old username may not be available
You will start with zero followers and virtual currency
Previous purchase history will not be transferred
